About Dr Tarek Saleh

Dr Tarek Saleh

Obstetrician and Gynaecologist.
An advanced laparoscopic surgeon with extensive experience in medical and surgical management of endometriosis.

I completed my O&G training in New Zealand and qualified as a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RANZCOG).
With a special interest in endometriosis and pelvic pain as well as pelvic floor surgery, I continued with a two year intensified sub-specialty advanced laparoscopic training as an Australasian Gynaecological Endoscopy and Surgery (AGES) fellow. I became the lead laparoscopic gynaecology surgeon at my unit and the (AGES) training Program Director.

Leading with an empathetic approach, I strive to make my patients feel comfortable so that they are able to openly communicate their worries and queries with me. By prioritizing a doctor-patient relationship founded on trust, I am able to better understand and cater to patients’ needs. Most importantly I actively involve my patients in their care and decision making, to ensure the best outcome and ultimately improve their quality of life.

Sarah Pretty

Office Manager
Kia ora and hello everyone! I’m Sarah Pretty, Office Manager for Alpha Care Gynaecology.

With a background in commercial banking, office administration, and medical administration including Women’s Health at Waikato Hospital, I bring a wealth of experience to our team. I’ve also spent over 10 years managing rental properties for a family trust alongside raising four children.

Although I officially retired in December 2021, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to work with Dr. Tarek Saleh at his private practice. I’m excited to be back and ready to make things run smoothly for all of us!
